Cerb 12.0 beta: 500 new features + dozens of demo videos

Shared inboxes for human + AI teams. Route the work, automate it, integrate it with anything, and hand it to a person or an AI teammate who sees it through. Refined over 24 years, with a built-in harness for AI teammates -- each with its own mix of knowledge, skills, and tools.

We’re wrapping up a year of development on Cerb 12.0 with around 500 new features, including: AI agents, custom search indexes, parallel queues, and a full UI redesign.

The AI features use your preferred providers and models, and can be completely disabled without affecting the Cerb functionality you’re used to. AI just optionally enhances Cerb; helping research, draft replies using your own docs, code automations, build workflows, and search with queries. We ship hand-built and tested agent skills. Agents use a secure, emulated terminal, emulated filesystem, and use our scripting language as a compute layer. You can build new tools as automations and give them to agents, but we expose none of your data by default. We’ve tested Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, AWS Bedrock, Azure Microsoft Foundry, oMLX, Ollama local+Cloud, Docker, Google Gemini, HuggingFace, Groq, Qwen Cloud, z.AI, and more. You can also use any provider or router with an Anthropic or OpenAI compatible API.

We’re also making it easier for everyone to use Cerb. You can self-host for free forever with unlimited workers and unlimited seats, with no feature limitations. You don’t need a license for that at all. The only limitation is 3 concurrency slots for the new parallel queues and AI agent turns (4 concurrent chats).

An optional license unlocks concurrency completely and lets you configure scale and dedicated “lanes” for different types of work.

Self-hosted seat limits are no longer enforced -- your idle sessions will no longer be “kicked” to free up a seat when someone else logs in. Invite your whole team.

Just need shared inboxes and aren’t using AI? No license needed. Free. Forever.

Pricing for the fully managed Cerb Cloud service remains the same and 3 concurrency slots are included for free. You can scale up by adding dedicated seats and slots to your subscription (AI agents for workers, website support, background work, etc).

If you have a current paid self-hosted Cerb license we’ll double your remaining term at no cost.

We’ve also published about 30 videos covering new Cerb functionality on the YouTube channel. View and subscribe at: https://www.youtube.com/@cerb_ai
